Father of the Bride (2022) is a comedy film directed by Gary Alazraki and scripted by Matt Lopez. The film is a remake of the 1991 film starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton.

The original 1950 film starred Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett and Elizabeth Taylor. Father of the Bride is basically based on the novel by Edward Streeter.

Father of the Bride follows the story of Billy Herrera (Andy Garcia), a Cuban immigrant who has become a successful architect in Miami.

However, as he approaches his old age, Billy Herrera and his wife, Ingrid (Gloria Estefan) begin to disagree. They plan to divorce.

To announce the divorce, they invited the entire immediate family. Including their daughter, Sofia Herrera (Adria Arjona) who works in New York.

However, when Billy was about to announce their divorce, Sofia Herrera suddenly announced her engagement to Adan Castillo (Diego Boneta).

Billy and Ingrid are shocked and they delay announcing their divorce. The engagement made Sofia happy. So, they don’t want to mess up Sofia’s life.

Billy and Ingrid start preparing for their wedding in Miami. During the month-long process of preparing for the wedding, a lot of drama happened to the Herrera family. Moreover, the Castillo family from Mexico participated in preparing for their son’s wedding.
